The Basic How-To
I said these were easy, and I wasn’t kidding. Literally, all you need is sticks of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and a refrigerated roll of crescent dough (you know the kind that you have to bang on the counter to break open!).
That’s it. So, you pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees or whatever the directions on the dough calls for. Pop them bad boy crescents open, and start assembling. I started by taking three to four pepperonis and laying them down on the widest parts of the crescent dough triangle. Next, I cut off about an inch of the mozzarella stick, lay it on the pepperoni. Then I roll it up, like a crescent. In the original recipe, from The Kitchen Critic, she uses a sauce, but my family enjoys them without. Once you have assembled them all, pop them in the oven, let them cook till they are pretty and brown, around fourteen to seventeen minutes, and enjoy!
