I honestly, have never been to a swap as an adult. So, I really didn't know what to expect. I didn't know what cookies to make. My friend told me that the cookies would be judged by all the women that come.
The categories that we could vote on was most festive, most original, most creative, best tasting, and best overall. When she told me that, my competitive side kicked in. Big time. I was already wanting to bring great cookies. But, there was a competition involved. I had to bring my very best game. I went into full on planning mode. Should I bring a unique recipe? Should I bring store bought? Should I go all out and make super decorative cut out cookies? (That's what inspired this post!) Every year, my family does an annual cookie bake. Most of the time we do sugar cut out cookies. So, I stuck to what I know, and brought my best cut out sugar cookies. I will include pictures of those in this post, but I want to share with you some of the cookie recipes I found along my search for great recipes! *All images will link back to the website where they were derived!
