His Truths: God Is Love [February]

2/16/2020

This year is moving along- February, already!

Continuing into our monthly study of His Truths, His promises to me and you, our lives, our family's lives!

February's theme was already kind of planned out, I mean, it is the month of "love" after all!

It really set in to make this month about His love while I was preparing a Bible lesson to do with my babies.

You see, every month, I choose a theme to do a couple of Bible studies on with them, even if it is just me talking to them about it, going down the road! They do listen, at this age, anyways!

The first topic I studied on for the girls was "God's Love".

In this "God's Love" lesson, it tells us that God is love, His love is the Word.

Love is easily confused by the many ways culture defines it and creates rules and expectations for.

Our society and culture have forgotten what love is. So many of us have it wrong- look at how many people in the world, in your inner circle, who are hurting, or are lonely. Some of those people are hurting because they have stepped outside of God's plan of protection over their life, love included. When we do we put ourselves at risk of being hurt, physically or emotionally.

Some of us, even make love conditional. "If he really loved me....", "If I was loved...". None of that is how love works, none of that is how God works. He is non-conditional, and His love is the exact same.

God created us with a desire to love and be loved.

And He did so, because He wants be love for us.

God love us so much, he desires us to have a very close relationship with each of us. He wants to fill that void, that need we have for love. He wants us to make our relationship with priority.

Not only does He want to fill our void for love on His own, He wants us to show love as He does, to everyone. He tells us that as a commandment, and He explains that if we love, we are of Him, and others will see that, and they will know that we are one of His children.

His Truths

+ God is Love.
God showed His love for you by sending His one and only Son to the world, so we might live through Him. He did this, not because we love Him, but because He loved us! We are to love one another, because He first loved us.

+ Love One Another.
It is commanded to us to love one another, as He loved us. Love comes from God, in all shapes and forms. If you love, you have been born again or of God, and you know God. Others will see this, and know that you are His.

+ He is Your Safe Place.
God is always willing, able and ready to fill any voids you may have or feel. He fills these voids with nothing other than love! He will fill your voids of loneliness and love, by hiding away with you in a place of refuge, a safe place. He wants to be your number one relationship- He is your safe place. He is your salvation, He is your fortress, He is your refuge; infinitely, overly present and all knowing. .

Absolutely beautiful write-up regarding God. God is such a beautiful being and has created so many wonderful things in life. I am so thankful to have God in my life, as I think I would be lost without him. Your message is real and so inspiring.

That's great that you set monthly bible themes to study with your children. And I love the theme of "God's Love" for February. Thanks for sharing this uplifting post, I really enjoyed reading it.

LOVE how you made Feb about God's love. We tend to immediately make it only about our romantic and family love but it's all through and because of God so it's important to remember his love as well
