In order to make practical and logical decisions when it comes to your renovation, consider it a business plan.

If you are working from home, taking classes online, or practicing physical and social distancing from you and your family members, we are all experiencing a new normal together as a society.

This may be easy for some but studying from home as well as working from home is a huge challenge for many of us.

As the weeks progress, you might find yourself looking for some normalcy and some balance between everything that is going on.

Many of us are dealing with anxiety, our mental health is compromised, and attempting to boost our productivity to connect with others during the quarantine.

Easy Ways to Maintain/Add Value to Your Home | Other

2/2/2020

Every year, we try to do projects to add value to our home, some out of necessity, some out of just wanting our home to look nicer.

Some people call this maintenance, sprucing up, freshening up, adding value… either way it can be on the many parts of being a homeowner, that is fun, yet possibly expensive.

Sprucing up your home can be as simple as cleaning up after your family, to bigger, more costly projects.

The longer we put off any of these projects (really, any project or task in life!), the more it seems to feel as though it is “falling apart” or in “complete disrepair”. This causes me and many homeowners to feel stressed out, and like they won’t be able to catch back up.

Our Five Favorite Laundromat Tips! | Mom So Hard, Other

1/23/2020

At one point in our lives, we will find ourselves in need of a laundromat and their services!

A laundromat can be a great resource in many different times and seasons of life.

Maybe you are renting a living space that doesn't have the option for a washer and dryer or laundry areas. Even college dorms have laundromat style washrooms.

Other times may be instances where we are temporarily without our own washer and/or dryer. Like the case of being a first time home owner/renter; both cases you often have to supply your own large appliances. There may even be times you may be required to make a trip or two, to the laundromat due to the fact that your washer and dryer are out of service.

January and February Reads | Book Club

1/12/2020

As always, I am adding to my reading list, but this year, while I am adding "fun" reads, I am making choices to add intentional reading to my day.

I want to add more books to help build me as a mom, a wife, and whatever this person God is working to mold me into!

I have always had "issues" with buying books. And notebooks. And planners.

Okay, so I may just be a good old fashioned "nerd", but I don't see that as a problem! I also have a problem with buying books and not being able to part with them, they are like my trophies!

Here is a list of books I am planning to read in January and February.
January Book List, January and February Book list, January reads, february reads, books for women, religious books for women, personal development books for women, Where The Crawdads Sing, Marriage After God

If it made sense to have more than one, I would, but it doesn’t make sense. I mean that defeats the purpose for me- organizational wise!

I have had all types of planners, but have recently landed on some really great ones!

i have a list of those for you, but first let’s talk about things you should look for in a planner!

The Podcasts You Should be Listening To! | Other

Over the last year, I began doing something I never thought I would- listening to podcasts!

I never enjoyed talk radio, you know the radio shows your dad made you listen to on the way to school, so I assumed I wouldn’t enjoy podcasts.

I was so wrong. I was wrong to assume that podcasts were anything like talk radio. I was so wrong to assume I was not a podcast person!

I have been listening to some really good stuff this year, and as much as I love music, sometimes a podcast has won over music on my drives to work, or to get the girls after work.

My kids don’t love it, they would rather watch Paw Patrol or Frozen, or even listen to Disney soundtracks! But, it gives them some quiet time, and they take naps in turn! *Parental Win!*

10 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me | Other, Mom so Hard

10. My full time job is in healthcare. It is super stressful, but rewarding. I love the people I work with, being that we are a small hospital, we all try to be close and be a family! I LOVE IT.

9. I have experienced a broken jaw! Seriously. The story is long and cruel, and I am currently, still in recovery. But, at this point I need to tell you what broke my jaw, the polite thing to say would be, 'a complication in wisdom teeth removal'. If I could use one word to describe the entire experience, it would be TRAUMATIC.

    About Amy

Hey Ya'll! My name is Amy, I am a girl mom (times two), married to one of my favorite guys, a daughter, a Jesus follower and so much more. I love preworkout and a great sweat, I collect books like trophies, I love to cook but hate a dirty kitchen. I love grungy country music, bell bottom pants, turquoise (the mineral) and converses. Our house is full of love and laughter as we navigate this busy life together, focusing on keeping the important parts of life the biggest parts, and building a healthy and safe place in our family of four!
